Now You Know....

40 Years in the Making

Welcome to the Phrogg Hollow Stagnant, a blog dedicated to helping people who feel bogged down
to step out of the muck for a few minutes now and again to be entertained by
our whimsical world of made up news stories. Some of these features are pure
fiction, but most are based on situations that we encounter in our everyday
lives.

We designed and wrote the Stagnant when we were in high school. Frustrated
by lack of opportunities for personal growth and by the uninspired attitudes of
the adults in our community, we re-named our town "Phrogg Hollow".

Why? Well, not being all that clever, the name came about when Mary's mom
drove us to what seemed to us the edge of the world to record how many times a
bullfrog croaked per minute for our biology class. We concluded that frogs can
only croak once because, unlike cats, they only have one life like the rest of
creation. And yes, we passed that class, but I digress (which is what I do
best). Since my last name began with the letters 'ph', I was in the dyslexic
habit of substituting 'ph' for 'f'. So now you know a bit about our line of
thinking.

But even our brains get mired down, and we welcome field work (or should we
say "swamp work"?) by guest writers. If you are interested in
